Notes & SummariesPast PapersComments"Everyone should take this elective! It's easy, informative, and an easy A with little effort!"
"it's much easier than what it seems like" (German with Dr. Nadia Naqrash) "I took German with Prof. Mohammad Al-Azzam. "Although I entered the course with high hopes, I didn't enjoy the course very much because of how the professor focused mostly on explaining by talking rather than writing and that posed a slight issue for me because I need to see the thing in writing and I can't focus through hearing very much but that's a personal issue. We took 5 units from a book called Studio D A1 and it was mostly simple rules and words. German is a bit confusing because of all the tools in it so I would recommend that you have some previous knowledge of the language or to have someone around who can speak it before taking this course. The midterm exam was easy but it needs some studying and memorizing words, their gender and plurals. There was a quiz after the midterm that was supposed to be in writing but the professor changed it to speaking, he would give you 10 or 15 minutes to organize a conversation with some of your colleagues about a subject he decides like being in a cafe or asking about where you came from, most of the dialogues were from the book. The final was MCQ, Paragraph with Right or Wrong questions and Fill in The Blank and you had to write a small paragraph in describing your house or room. The minimum for A was 92 according to the professor." |
